370 Palestinian children being held in Israeli prisons, report says Approximately 370 Palestinian children remain imprisoned in Israeli detention centres, according to a new report by the Palestinian Centre for Prisoners Advocacy, which it called "an unprecedented figure compared with previous periods". "As of early August 2026, approximately 370 Palestinian children were being held in Israeli prisons, most of them in Megiddo and Ofer prisons, among more than 9,400 Palestinian prisoners and detainees," the report said. It added that the figures point to "Israel’s continued use of administrative detention without charge or trial".
