Any deal with Israel must include guarantees, Lebanon’s parliament speaker says Lebanese parliament speaker Nabih Berri said any agreement with Israel must include guarantees, accusing Israel of having “violated” the cessation of hostilities despite Hezbollah adhering to the arrangement. Speaking to Al Jazeera Arabic, Berri said Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had assured Lebanese officials that Lebanon would be included in any agreement secured by the US to end the US-Israeli war on Iran. Berri added that he hoped negotiations between Iran and the US would reach a “positive conclusion soon”.
