Canada faces pressure over killing of citizen in Israeli strike on Lebanon The Canadian government is facing growing calls to pursue accountability after a Canadian citizen was killed in an Israeli attack in southern Lebanon last month. Hassan Haidar, a 38-year-old father of five from Windsor, Ontario, was killed in an Israeli drone strike on the village of Qana near Tyre on 10 April. Al Jazeera questioned Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand over Ottawa’s decision to ask Israel to investigate the killing.
