China wants Hormuz Strait open without restrictions, US official says A US Trade Representative said that Chinese officials made it clear during the much-anticipated US-China summit that they want to see the Strait of Hormuz reopen without restrictions or tolls. "It's really important for China to have the Strait of Hormuz open, no tolling, no military control, and that was clear from the meeting.
