Gaza ‘heading towards famine’ as bread shortages deepen amid Israeli curbs Submitted by Maha Hussaini on Mon, 04/13/2026 - 11:00 Residents queue for hours for bread as fears of famine grow across the enclave Displaced Palestinians wait to receive food from a charity kitchen at the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip on 13 April 2026 (AFP/Eyad Baba) Off Significant shortages of bread and essential supplies, including food and fuel, have returned to the Gaza Strip as Israel continues to tighten restrictions on the entry of goods and aid.
