GCC, Arab League welcome UN Security Council adoption of resolution condemning Iran's attacks on Gulf States

CAPITALS, 12th March, 2026 (WAM) -- The United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817 of 2026, which strongly condemns the Iranian attacks on the territories of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, has drawn broad Gulf and Arab welcome as a ''decisive step'' toward consolidating peace and security.
