Ghalibaf says others cannot pass Hormuz if Iran blocked, control rests with Tehran Iran’s parliament speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, said the Strait of Hormuz is under Iran’s control and warned it would be impossible for others to pass through it if Iran is prevented from doing so. Ghalibaf said Iran does not trust the US and believes it may resume hostilities at any moment, and so Iranian armed forces “in the field are fully prepared”. He said that the Strait of Hormuz is under Iran’s control and the US decision to blockade Iranian ports is “foolish” and “ignorant”.
