Hezbollah supporters demonstrate to protest Lebanon’s talks with Israel Hezbollah supporters have gathered outside the Lebanese Prime Minister’s office in central Beirut to protest against the government's decision to engage in direct negotiations with Israel. Hezbollah and the Amal Movement have reportedly urged their supports not to hold demonstrations out of a “keenness on stability and civil peace”. Lebanon’s Prime Minister Nawaf Salam announced earlier on Saturday that he is postponing a trip to the US due to the instability in the country after agreeing to the first direct talks with Israel during Israel's ongoing strikes on the country, which have killed over 2,000 people.
