India says talks with Iran helping reopen Hormuz shipping India’s foreign minister has said diplomacy with Iran is proving effective in restoring shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. In an interview with the Financial Times, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said direct talks with Tehran had already produced results after two Indian-flagged LPG carriers passed safely through the waterway on Saturday. “Talking has yielded some results,” he said.
