Iran, China weigh ceasefire and Hormuz reopening efforts Iran’s foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, is visiting China for the first time since the start of the conflict, after holding multiple phone calls with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi. China has criticised the US blockade on Iranian ports while also expressing increasing concern over Iran’s role in closing the strategic waterway.
