Iran defends attacks on Kuwait and Bahrain as ‘self-defence’ Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has defended Iran’s attacks on Kuwait and Bahrain, describing them as “self-defence strikes”. As previously reported, Kuwaiti authorities said they intercepted 30 ballistic missiles and drones, while a strike on the country’s main airport killed one person and wounded dozens more. In a post on X, Araghchi said Iranian forces targeted sites that US forces “use to attack civilian shipping and violate the ceasefire”.
