Iran envoy mocks Ukraine drone offer in Middle East war as a 'joke' Iran’s envoy in Ukraine has dismissed Kyiv’s offer to help counter Iranian-designed drones in the Middle East, calling the proposal meaningless. Speaking to AFP, Iranian diplomat Shahriar Amouzegar criticised Ukraine after it highlighted its experience shooting down Shahed drones used by Russia in the war in Ukraine. "As for the actions Ukraine is taking in the Middle East against drones, we essentially consider them nothing more than a joke and a showy gesture," he said.
