Iran intelligence ministry accuses Israel, US of ‘overthrowing and partitioning’ country Iran’s intelligence ministry accused the United States and Israel on Wednesday of seeking to overthrow Iran's leadership and break up the country. “The enemy is now pursuing through other means the objective of overthrowing and partitioning the country, which it openly declared at the beginning of the recent war but failed to achieve through military attack,” the ministry was quoted as saying by Iranian media. It alleged that the failure of military action had prompted the US and Israel to turn to other forms of warfare, including economic pressure, cyberattacks, weapons smuggling, assassinations and hostile media campaigns.
