Iran objects to revised terms in draft deal Less than a day after US President Donald Trump said an agreement with Tehran was “largely negotiated”, signs of friction have emerged over key elements of the proposed deal. According to Al Jazeera, a source familiar with the talks said Iran believes Washington is backing away from earlier understandings on the mechanism for unfreezing Iranian assets and the scope of a ceasefire framework for Lebanon. The source said the draft agreement includes provisions related to a ceasefire in Lebanon, but Israel is reportedly pressing the United States to include language allowing Israeli forces to carry out military operations in response to what it considers threats.
