Iran’s president rejects ‘colonialism’, calls for respectful ties Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said Tehran will continue to pursue “friendly relations” with other countries based on mutual respect, while rejecting what he described as colonial practices. In remarks addressing Iran’s foreign policy direction, Pezeshkian said cooperation must be grounded in shared interests. “The policy of colonialism and exploitation will have no place in the future world,” he said.
