Iran turns to land trade routes to counter maritime blockade We have more from Iran’s top security official, Mohsen Rezaei. Rezaei says Tehran has started activating overland trade corridors to reduce its dependence on shipping and counter the maritime blockade. He pointed to Iran’s borders with 15 neighbouring countries, arguing that its geographical position gives it alternatives to sea-based commerce.
