Iran warns any military ships nearing Strait of Hormuz would breach ceasefire Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have warned that any military vessels approaching the Strait of Hormuz will be treated as breaching the two-week ceasefire with the United States and will face a forceful response. In a statement carried by state media on Sunday, the Guards said Iran’s navy maintains control and “smart management” of the strategic waterway. They added that the strait remains "open for the safe passage of non-military vessels in accordance with specific regulations".
