Iran warns US over ‘adventurism’ after strikes on vessels Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmail Baghaei, has condemned recent US military action against Iranian vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, warning against what he described as escalating behaviour. In a post on X, Baghaei condemned US conduct, cautioning against “adventurism and roguish behaviour”. He also appeared to respond to remarks by US President Donald Trump, saying: “…scheming and naive euphemisms such as ‘a light slap’ would not erase the profound disgrace born of narcissism, greed, reckless miscalculation, and lawless irresponsibility”.
