Iran warns vessels must follow its Strait of Hormuz transit rules Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters has issued a fresh warning to commercial and military vessels operating in the Strait of Hormuz, saying all ships must comply with regulations set by Tehran. In a statement, the military command said every vessel, including oil tankers, is required to travel along routes designated by Iran and obtain authorisation from the Revolutionary Guard Navy before transiting the strategic waterway. The headquarters warned that ships failing to comply with Iran's regulations risk jeopardising their own safety while passing through the strait.
