Ireland defence secretary cancels Lebanon troop visit over security fears Ireland’s Defence Minister Helen McEntee has cancelled a planned visit to Irish troops serving with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, citing security concerns. McEntee had been due to travel to Lebanon after a visit to Kyiv, Ukraine, but said the Irish military advised against the trip due to the deteriorating situation.
