IRGC says Iran controlling Hormuz, any violation to be met with 'decisive response'
IRGC says Iran controlling Hormuz, any violation to be met with 'decisive response' Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said on Thursday that Tehran will continue to control and manage the Strait of Hormuz and that any disruption will be met with a “decisive response”. In a statement carried by state media, the IRGC navy affirmed that two vessels were stopped passing through Hormuz for unauthorised passage prior to the latest US-Israeli attacks on Iran, whilst 26 vessels were permitted to pass through in the past 24 hours. They added that obtaining permission and coordinating with the Iranian navy is mandatory to pass through the strait, which has been blocked by Iran since the start of the conflict.
