Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu approved the appointment of Yehuda Eliyahu on Monday. A long-time associate of Smotrich, Eliyahu previously headed the Settlement Administration within the defence ministry, where he oversaw the largest Israeli land grab in the West Bank in recent memory.
