Israeli air strikes hit southern Lebanon as death toll rises The Israeli military carried out about 40 air strikes on villages in southern Lebanon during the final hours of Sunday, while artillery shelling, home demolitions and bombardments continued across border towns, according to local media reports. The attacks targeted several areas in the south amid escalating hostilities despite an existing ceasefire arrangement.
