Bulldozers began levelling land near the northern entrance of the town, while Israeli authorities also issued notices for the clearing of additional areas for expansion projects without specifying the amount of land involved. According to local residents, Israeli forces had previously forced Palestinians to leave areas surrounding the former Arraba military camp in February.
