Israeli settler attacks rise by 63 percent in first seven months of 2026, says Commission
Israeli settler attacks rise by 63 percent in first seven months of 2026, says Commission The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission said that Israeli settler attacks in the occupied West Bank rose sharply during the first seven months of 2026, reaching 4,113 compared with 2,524 during the same period in 2025, an increase of 1,589 attacks, representing a 63 percent rise, Wafa news reported. In a statement issued on Monday, the Commission said that the number of attacks in 2026 exceeded those recorded in every corresponding month of the previous year, without exception, with the numbers recorded in June and July. The Commission said the increase should not be viewed as a collection of isolated incidents, but rather the result of political, security, and legal enablement, coinciding with the rapid expansion of settlements, that has intensified since the formation of the far-right government at the end of 2022.
