ROME, Italy: Nearly 40 years after the Chernobyl nuclear disaster spread radiation across Europe and led Italy to abandon nuclear power, the government led by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is now preparing to bring it back. The aim is to improve the country's energy security. The government is relying on a younger generation of Italians who see nuclear energy differently.
