Jailed Iranian Nobel laureate Narges Mohammadi 'between life and death' in hospital Jailed Iranian Nobel laureate Narges Mohammadi is currently "between life and death" after being taken to hospital, according to her supporters. On Friday the campaigner - who was arrested in December after speaking out against the Islamic Republic - was "urgently transferred to a hospital in Zanjan today" after a rapid deterioration, "including two episodes of complete loss of consciousness and a severe cardiac crisis". Supporters said on Tuesday that she was currently hanging "between life and death" in the Zanjan hospital.
