Lebanese and Kuwaiti leaders discuss regional tensions Lebanese President Joseph Aoun spoke with Kuwaiti Emir Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah about regional developments and tensions affecting their countries, according to the National News Agency. Aoun expressed “the solidarity of the Lebanese people with their Kuwaiti brothers and sisters during these critical times the region is experiencing”, the agency reported. The emir thanked Aoun and said: “Kuwait always stands by Lebanon and its people, especially in this critical phase, and supports the steps taken by Lebanon to achieve security and stability and restore its sovereignty over all its territory.
