Lebanon's president calls Israeli killing of journalist a 'war crime' Lebanon's president has called the killing of a journalist by an Israeli strike a "war crime" aimed at hiding its conduct in the country. Amal Khalil, 43, was killed in the town of al-Tayri while covering the aftermath of earlier Israeli attacks alongside freelance photographer Zeinab Faraj, who was wounded. "Israel deliberately targets journalists in order to conceal the truth about its crimes against Lebanon," said President Joseph Aoun.
