Lebanon says €500m needed for humanitarian response as ceasefire holds Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said the country needs €500m to address the humanitarian fallout over the next six months as a fragile ceasefire with Israel holds. Speaking at a press conference, he said the funding is needed to respond to the growing crisis. At least 2,450 people have been killed and more than 7,600 wounded in six weeks of fighting, according to the government.
