Macron condemns Iran strikes on UAE as ‘unjustified’ French President Emmanuel Macron condemned Iranian strikes on the United Arab Emirates as “unjustified and unacceptable”. “As it has done since the start of the conflict, France will continue to support its allies in the Emirates and in the region for the defence of their territory,” he said, reiterating Paris’s backing for partners in the Gulf. Macron called for a lasting solution, saying it requires reopening the Strait of Hormuz and reaching “a robust agreement providing necessary security guarantees to regional countries”.
