Nato briefed Trump wants immediate commitments from allies to secure Hormuz Nato secretary general Mark Rutte briefed capitals that the US wants concrete commitments within the next few days for help in securing the Strait of Hormuz, two European diplomats told Reuters. This comes after comments on Truth Social from US president Donald Trump expressing frustration at Nato over a lack of support in the war with Iran and threatening Greenland, a Nato member, again. A 2-week ceasefire deal currently hangs in the balance between Iran and the US after Israel’s bombardment of Lebanon was seen by Iran as a violation of their agreement.
