OpenAI restricts ChatGPT rollout at Washingtons request

The developer has become the second major AI firm to restrict a frontier model launch after Anthropic earlier this month OpenAI has restricted the initial rollout of its latest frontier AI models at the request of the US government, marking the first time the company has staggered a flagship release at Washington's request.
