Qatar and US discuss ending Iran war during Washington meeting Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani met US Vice President JD Vance in Washington, where discussions focused on ending the war involving Iran and achieving long-term stability in the Middle East. According to Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the talks also covered Pakistan’s ongoing mediation efforts between the parties involved in the conflict. The two sides stressed “the necessity for all parties to respond to the ongoing mediation efforts in a manner that opens the door to addressing the roots of the crisis through peaceful means and dialogue”, the ministry said.
