Qatar, GCC condemn Iranian drone attacks on Bahrain Both the Qatari foreign ministry and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi have strongly condemned Iran’s attacks on Bahrain, after reports emerged that drones targeted its territory. In a statement to X, the Albudaiwi said he “condemns in the strongest terms the treacherous Iranian attacks on the Kingdom of Bahrain and its targeting of civilian infrastructure and properties. ” Qatar called for “continuing on the path of dialogue and diplomacy, de-escalation, and building on the gains achieved within the framework of the memorandum of understanding, in a manner that contributes to consolidating security and stability at both the regional and international levels.
