Qatar says diplomatic efforts between Iran and the need 'more time' Qatar stated on Tuesday that negotiations between the United States and Iran needed "more time" to succeed, after US President Donald Trump announced he had called off another attack against the Islamic Republic. "We support the diplomatic efforts led by Pakistan... to bring the parties closer together and find a solution, and we believe they require more time," said Qatari foreign ministry spokesman Majed al-Ansari at a press conference in Doha.
