Qatar to return to normal liquefied natural gas production 'within a few weeks' Qatar's Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani said that the Gulf state would resume its usual levels of liquefied natural gas production “within a few weeks”, the Financial Times reported on Wednesday. He also told the FT that establishing a hotline between the US and Iran was essential to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. QatarEnergy suspended LNG production following Iranian attacks on its huge Ras Laffan plant in March.
