Report: Ben-Gvir cancels New York trip as rights groups call for his prosecution Israel’s far-right national security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir is cancelling his scheduled trip to New York next week for Chiefs of Police Summit, Haaretz reported, citing sources in the ministry. The decision comes in the wake of planned demonstrations by locals and calls from human rights groups to investigate and arrest Ben-Gvir. The Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF), in partnership with the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR), sent a letter to New York state attorney general Letitia James on Thursday, urging her to open a criminal investigation into Ben-Gvir.
