Rights groups denounce Israeli killing of Lebanese journalist as 'war crime' Three human rights organisations have denounced an Israeli attack in southern Lebanon that killed a journalist in April as a "war crime. " Amal Khalil, who worked for the daily newspaper Al-Akhbar, was killed, while freelance cameraperson Zeinab Faraj was wounded, in an attack on 22 April in the village of al-Tiri. The two women had taken shelter in a building after an Israeli strike targeted a car traveling ahead of them - the building itself was then targeted itself.
