Satellite images show fire at major Kuwait power and water facility A fire has been detected at the Doha West Power and Water Treatment Plant, Kuwait’s largest facility for electricity generation and desalination, according to satellite data. Thermal imagery showed active flames and smoke in parts of the complex, including areas near storage tanks. The plant has a capacity of about 2,400 megawatts of electricity and produces roughly 110 million gallons of water per day, accounting for a significant share of Kuwait’s supply.
