Saudi Arabia downs drones near Riyadh Saudi Arabia says its air defence systems have shot down three drones east of the capital, Riyadh, as the Israeli-US war on Iran continues affect regional countries. The Saudi Ministry of Defence said the drones were intercepted on Friday. "Three drones were intercepted and destroyed east of the Riyadh region," a defence ministry spokesperson said.
