Saudi Arabia intercepts drones heading toward Riyadh, air base and oil field Saudi Arabia’s defence ministry says a ballistic missile launched towards Prince Sultan Air Base was intercepted and destroyed. The ministry said in the last three hours that it also shot down two drones north of the capital, Riyadh and two other drones were intercepted and destroyed in the Empty Quarter heading towards the Shaybah oil field.
