Saudi Arabia says drone heading for Aramco-operated oilfield intercepted
Saudi Arabia says drone heading for Aramco-operated oilfield intercepted Saudi Arabia’s Defence Ministry said its air defences intercepted and destroyed a drone over the Rub al-Khali desert that was heading toward the Shaybah oilfield. The facility, operated by Saudi Aramco, has the capacity to produce about 1 million barrels of crude oil per day. The interception came hours after the ministry said it had foiled ballistic missile attacks targeting Prince Sultan Air Base and drone attacks aimed at Riyadh.
