Saudi military downs drone east of Riyadh Saudi Arabia’s Defence Ministry on Saturday said its air defences intercepted and destroyed a drone east of the capital, Riyadh. The ministry said the drone was destroyed before it could reach its target. Earlier, Saudi authorities said four drones were shot down in the south of the country, while a ballistic missile targeting Prince Sultan Air Base was also intercepted and destroyed.
