Saudi military downs wave of drones near capital Saudi Arabia’s Defence Ministry said its air defences intercepted seven drones east of the capital, Riyadh, within the past hour. The announcement came shortly after officials reported that eight other drones entering the kingdom’s airspace had also been shot down. Earlier, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said neighbouring countries would no longer be targeted unless attacks against Iran originated from their territory, though fresh strikes were reported soon afterwards.
