Ship struck by 'unknown projectile' near Qatar's Ras Laffan A vessel was hit by an “unknown projectile” near Ras Laffan, Qatar, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations said, adding that all crew members were safe. The incident occurred about four nautical miles east of the industrial area, as the agency advised vessels in the region to exercise caution and report suspicious activity as tensions continue to affect regional shipping.
