In an interview with Fox News, Trump said a diplomatic agreement remains the preferred option because signing it would mean “immediately reopening the Strait of Hormuz to navigation”. He added, “The Strait of Hormuz must be opened immediately and without any transit fees, and Tehran must be permanently prevented from acquiring any nuclear weapon.
