Turkish and Algerian leaders condemn Israeli attacks on Gaza and Lebanon Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said Israel’s policies represent the primary security threat in the region, criticising its conduct during ongoing conflicts. Speaking at a joint news conference in Ankara with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Erdogan said Israeli actions are destabilising the region. “Israeli aggression has once again shown that the main security problem for our region is the expansionist, lawless and norm-defying policies of the current government,” he said.
