Turkish minister meets Hamas delegation for Gaza peace discussions Turkish foreign minister Hakan Fidan met a delegation from Hamas headed by Muhammad Darwish to discuss efforts aimed at securing lasting peace in Gaza and improving humanitarian aid access to the territory, Anadolu Agency reported. During the meeting, Fidan said ongoing regional conflicts should not overshadow the Palestinian cause and stressed that Turkey would continue raising international awareness about conditions in Gaza and the occupied West Bank. He described Israel’s increased military presence in Gaza and restrictions on humanitarian assistance as unacceptable, adding that countries supporting Palestine, particularly Islamic nations, must continue defending Palestinian rights.
