Two Lebanese paramedics wounded in landmine explosion The Lebanese Red Cross said on Tuesday that one of its ambulances was hit by a landmine explosion while conducting a rescue mission in the Zawtar al-Sharqiya area, damaging the ambulance and injuring two paramedics. In a statement, the Red Cross added that it was “working in coordination with the Lebanese Army’s Engineering Regiment and relevant authorities to secure the area, which has been found to contain mines and unexploded ordnance, to allow safe access to paramedics and their evacuation”.
